Bio

Michael Perenich is a third-generation personal injury attorney with deep roots in Clearwater, Florida, where his grandfather, Guy Perenich, began practicing in 1955. Born in Clearwater and raised in Tarpon Springs, Michael now resides in Palm Harbor. He completed his high school education at East Lake High School and pursued a degree in Philosophy at the University of South Florida (USF). During his time at USF, Michael was an active member of the Ethics Bowl team, leading them to success in the Southeast region and advancing to the National Competition. He also served as Vice President of the campus Philosophy Organization.

Following his undergraduate studies, Michael attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, following in his father's footsteps. While there, he interned with Honorable Judge Robert Morris of the Second District Court of Appeals and participated in international study programs in Budapest, Hungary, and Istanbul, Turkey, focusing on International Transactions and Central European Legal Systems. In his third year, he studied at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he earned the Honorable R. Grable Stoutamire Book Award for American Legal Thought and received a distinction in Trial Practice.

After graduating from law school in 2012, Michael began litigating cases alongside his father. He has successfully handled complex cases involving catastrophic injuries, product liability, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and major vehicular accidents. Michael thrives on challenging cases that test his advocacy skills and creativity. Dedicated to continuous improvement, Michael is always researching new legal tactics and collaborates with both his colleagues and seasoned litigators to refine his approach to complex legal issues. His trial skills have been recognized at the prestigious Florida Justice Association Workhorse Seminar.

Outside of his legal career, Michael enjoys a variety of activities including spending time with his family, traveling, wakeboarding, hiking, mountain biking, playing and coaching soccer, reading, cooking, tuning and racing cars, woodworking, gardening, and producing music. He is also committed to community engagement through lectures on law at local schools during events like the Great American Teach-In and Law Day.
