Bio

Carolyn Salzmann brings something almost no other personal injury attorney can claim: she was an engineer first. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, graduating with the kind of academic distinction that earned her induction into the National Chemical Engineering Honor Society. Carolyn calls it a BOGO — two professions for the price of one. That engineering foundation means she doesn't just hire experts to explain the physics of a crash; she understands the mechanics of impact herself — the velocity, the angles, the forces at play — which can be the deciding factor in who's found at fault and how damages are calculated. It gives her the ability to cross-examine technical accident reconstruction experts in their own language, an advantage most attorneys in this field simply don't have. In one case, that engineering eye for detail — reading a repair bill to identify the structural damage insurance companies hoped no one would notice — helped secure a $9 million jury verdict after the insurance company argued the accident was minor enough to warrant a settlement of $0 to $100,000.

As her engineering career progressed, Carolyn went back to school again — this time for her MBA from Pepperdine University. That business training gives her a sharp understanding of the true economic impact of a serious injury, from lost earning capacity to long-term financial fallout, so she can fight for restitution that actually reflects what a client has lost.

Eventually, Carolyn made a deliberate choice: she left her engineering career behind to pursue law full-time. She graduated third in her class of over 200 from the University of Toledo College of Law — and even after building a distinguished legal career, she never stopped seeking out ways to understand her clients' cases from the inside. That same drive led her to Legacy Truck Driving School in Billings, Montana, where she trained to operate an 18-wheeler — not for a commercial license, but to understand blind spots, braking distances, and the realities of life behind the wheel of a big rig firsthand. It's the kind of hands-on preparation that sets her apart in trucking litigation specifically.

Before founding Legally Pink Law, Carolyn led the number one personal injury attorney team in Central Florida at the largest personal injury firm in the country. It was there she saw firsthand how easily clients can get lost in a high-volume system built for scale, not individual attention. Seventeen years ago, she made the decision to break away and build something different — a firm where clients would never be just a file number. Legally Pink Law is the result: proof that a smaller, more selective firm can deliver the personal attention high-volume firms simply aren't built to provide.
