Bio

Since entering the practice of law, Casey has secured multi-million dollar awards on behalf of his clients and has been actively involved in trial litigation involving personal injury including products liability, pharmaceutical litigation, medical malpractice, and automobile accident cases. Casey has also been actively involved in Multi-District Litigation (“MDL”) and has received several MDL leadership appointments, including serving on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Lipitor Products Liability Litigation, the Discovery Committee in the Bausch & Lomb ReNu with Moisture Loc MDL, and Chairman of the Subscribers’ Track State Liaison Committee in the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Antitrust MDL. Casey was also appointed Plaintiffs’ Co-Lead Counsel in class action litigation on behalf of 667 claimants who were at the scene of the Escambia County Central Booking and Detention Facility in Pensacola, Florida when it exploded on April 30, 2014. He also serves as the attorney for the Prentiss County Board of Supervisors and the Booneville School District.

Casey is now an active member of the American Association for Justice and the Mississippi Association for Justice (MAJ). In 2005, he was elected to serve on the MAJ Board of Governors. Casey was later named Young Lawyer of the Year for 2005-2006 by the Mississippi Association for Justice. In 2011, Casey was named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list as one of the top attorneys in Mississippi (no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected to the list). In 2012, Casey was named one of Mississippi’s Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers Association and received the “Leadership in Law” award from the Mississippi Business Journal. In 2014, Casey was named one of the top 100 lawyers in Mississippi of any age, and he was appointed as Chairman of Mississippi’s Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Casey is also Past President of the Prentiss County Bar Association.
