Bio

LaKeysha Greer Isaac, a senior partner in the law firm of Cosmich, Simmons & Brown, PLLC, is a graduate of Millsaps College and Emory University School of Law. She is a skilled litigator with twenty years of extensive experience in diverse areas of the law, with particular emphasis in defending complex toxic torts and product liability cases and in trial and appellate advocacy. She is comfortable appearing in courtrooms around the country.

LaKeysha handles the defense of complex cases from inception through trial/appeal, including managing large teams of attorneys and paraprofessionals. She is also responsible for managing locally retained counsel in jurisdictions across the country, and advises and counsels her clients on practical and cost-effective methods of defending high stakes claims.  In addition to managing cases on a national scale, LaKeysha has personally conducted depositions of hundreds of fact, expert and corporate witnesses, drafted and argued dozens of successful dispositive and Daubert motions in state and federal court, negotiated numerous settlements (including zero dollar dismissals and nominal settlements), participated in alternative dispute resolution and served as first or second chair at trial. She is experienced in appellate advocacy, including reversal of two multi-million dollar verdicts upon appellate review by Mississippi Supreme Court and upholding of a grant of summary judgment upon appellate review by Florida Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal.

An active and well-respected attorney, LaKeysha is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. She is also a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, where she served as President of the Jackson, Mississippi chapter. She was named a Mid-South Lawyer Rising Star in 2012 and a Mid-South Super Lawyer in 2013-2020, having been named one of the Top 50 Attorneys in Mississippi and one of the Top 50 Mid-South Women Attorneys in 2019 and in 2020. She is a Fellow of the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar. She is a Martindale-Hubbell "AV" rated attorney -- a peer rating for the highest level of professional competence and ethics -- and is listed on the Bar Registry of Preeminent Attorneys and in the Best Lawyers in America.

LaKeysha is active in her local community. She was named to the Mississippi Business Journal’s listing of the Top 40 under 40 for 2014, to its listing of Leaders in Law in 2016, and to its listing of 50 Leading Businesswomen in 2018. She is Immediate Past President of the Junior League of Jackson, a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Mississippi, past President of Rho Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and past President of Ebony Pearls Foundation, Inc. She previously served on the Board of Directors of Mississippi Children's Museum and on the Board of Governors of The Capital Club of Mississippi. She is a member of LeFleur's Bluff Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.
