Bio

Mr. Weltchek earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree magna cum laudefrom Middlebury College and earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Maryland, where he was awarded the Order of Barrister for excellence in trial advocacy. While in law school he was also a member of the national champion Maryland Trial Team.
Mr. Weltchek is admitted to the bar in Maryland and is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore City Bar Association, and Baltimore County Bar Association. Mr. Weltchek’s practice focuses on complex litigation matters including medical negligence, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, products liability, complex business torts, and environmental toxic torts. He participated in the groundbreaking litigation against ExxonMobil which resulted in a historic $150 million verdict for a group of families in Jacksonville, MD.
Mr. Weltchek has been recognized as a Rising Star in civil litigation by Superlawyers Magazine, a Top 100 Attorney by National Trial Lawyers Association and one of the Top 40 Attorneys Under 40. In his first decade of law practice, Mr. Weltchek is already responsible for over $100 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients and is the managing member of one of the nation’s premiere medical malpractice firms, Weltchek Mallahan & Weltchek, LLC.
