Mr. Carpenter focuses his practice in the area of complex business, commercial and banking litigation. He has appeared as national and regional lead counsel in representation of banking industry and regulatory matters. He regularly litigates cases involving public and close corporations involving their corporate officers and directors, corporate control litigation and often involving complex breach fiduciary duty allegations. He has acted as lead counsel in major private and public construction litigation, and has appeared in multi district litigation on behalf of victims of airline crashes. He also has been a frequent lecturer/speaker on all aspects of complex civil litigation. He has been given numerous professional awards including Best Lawyers ( 2017 Central Ohio Civil Litigation Lawyer of the Year), SuperLawyers, Million Dollar Advocacy Forum, Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America. He is a graduate of Ohio University, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa and the Ohio State University College of Law.
