CONSTANCE YU is a principal of Putterman | Yu LLP. Ms. Yu is an experienced trial lawyer, with her practice focused on business tort issues including disputes over complex commercial transactions, banking practices, intellectual property and real property rights, unfair competition, false advertising, and employment matters.

She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in disputes involving copyright/trademark infringement claims, trade secrets, defamation, securities cases, professional liability, RICO, and commercial contracts for goods and services, operating agreements, licensing agreements, franchise agreements, partnership agreements and partnership disputes, and joint venture agreements.

Her clients range from individual entrepreneurs, professional athletes, and closely held family trusts to private and public entities, blue chip companies and multinational corporations.

She regularly advises and defends companies and their officers and directors in threatened enforcement actions, government investigations and risk management matters.

Ms. Yu is active in numerous community organizations and has been a teacher for Stanford Law School’s Trial Advocacy Program and Federal Practice since 2003.

Ms. Yu serves as a neutral for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ADR Program and previously served as the Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the American Bar Association’s Section of Dispute Resolution from 2015-2019.
