Bio

Bernie Brannan, III is a partner at Gaines Gault Hendrix PC in Birmingham, Alabama. He maintains a diverse civil defense litigation practice, regularly defending individuals, businesses, and insurance companies in litigation arising out of automobile and trucking accidents, premises liability, construction defects, and extracontractual/bad faith claims.

His practice frequently puts him in front of juries. In 2016, he tried more civil jury trials to verdict than any other lawyer in Alabama and was listed on The Alabama Jury Verdict Reporter’s “Most Prolific Trial Attorneys List.” He has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Mid-South Super Lawyers and is an Associate Fellow of The Litigation Counsel of America.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi, where he was Phi Beta Kappa and a Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors Scholar.
